Born and raised in Juneau, Ashley has been fascinated with the Eldred Rock Lighthouse ever since first seeing it from the ferry headed to the State Fair in Haines as a young child. During his years living in Haines he made countless trips to the lighthouse to explore the grounds and developed a genuine appreciation for the history and rugged beauty of this treasured landmark. Ashley has lived in Skagway since 2011 operating a boat tour in the Upper Lynn Canal and has quite a bit of experience navigating the local waters and weather patterns. Ashley joined this Board to help with restoration and access so his daughter and countless other visitors will be able to safely visit Eldred Rock for years to come and enjoy this awe-inspiring part of our states history.
